Welcome to the home of the Troopers!
First day of school, September 6th, is right around the corner! We finished up Summer Sol and Rock Camp this past week. Our custodial stuff continues to work hard deep cleaning our school so it is ready for both students and staff.
August 30th is orientation day for our 6th grade students. Incoming Troopers will have an afternoon from 12:00-3:00 to learn about Garrison! Students will receive their schedules, meet teachers, have some fun and engage in activities with our Trooper Connect Leadership Team of students.
From 4:00-5:00 on August 30th, all families are invitied to a "Meet and Greet." 7th and 8th grade students may pick up their schedules, meet their teachers and walk to see where their classes will be held.
Garrison has a new assistant principal, Mr. Scott Kasenga! Mr. Kasenga is coming to us from John Sager Middle School in College Place. His background is high school ELA, coaching multiple sports, assistant principal and principal; Mr. K has a wealth of knowledge and abundance of energy! He will fit right in at Garrison!
Additionally, we have Mr. Eggart who will be joining us in the PE Department. Mrs. Adams will be our new school pyscologist. Mrs. Kelsay is our new ESL coordinator and will split her time between Garrison and Pioneer Middle School. Finally, Ms. Addison Fairbank will be our Community in Schools liasion. We are excited to expand our Garrison family and welcome these new members.
Fall sports registration is open! Football, volleyball, cross country, soccer; we know that participation in extra curricular activites has a significantly positive impact on academic achievement and self-esteem. Let's get involved!
Garrison Middle School is a great place to be!
