Dear 8th Grade Families:
We are so excited about the 8th Grade Recognition coming up on Tuesday, June 11th. This is an important event representing the transition of your student(s) from middle school to their high school career. Your student(s) need to be in the small gym at Wa-Hi at 6:40 pm. The ceremony will start right at 7:00 pm
There will be handicapped seating available on the gym floor if needed. As in years past, there will be a table available to place balloon bouquets during the ceremony. Please leave balloons on the table during the ceremony so as to not block the view of others. Dress for this occasion is semi-formal.
Please keep in mind, if your student is suspended these last few days, they will not be allowed to participate in the end of year activities such as the 8th grade party at the YMCA on Monday, June 10th or 8th Grade Recognition on June 11th. We encourage 8th grade students to continue practicing the 3R’s and being great students and role models.
Following our 8th Grade Recognition ceremony we will also be providing a social in the Wa-Hi small gym (for the 8th grade Garrison students only) from 8:00 – 10:00 pm.
Please call us at 527-3040 if you have any questions. We hope to see you on Tuesday.
